RE-ELECT
NANCY
PENNER
FOR MAYOR OF MORDEN

Proven Leadership - 8 years on council, 3 years as Mayor.
Results, not promises - Secured millions in infrastructure funding, advanced Morden's new wastewater project, expanded industrial development opportunities, strengthened partnerships in health care and education, built strong regional relationships.
The Next four years matter - I have worked every day to build a stronger, growing Morden. Together, we've made significant progress, and together we can keep that momemtum going.
Meet Nancy
Over the past eight years serving on Council, including the past three years as your Mayor, Morden has continued to grow, adapt, and invest in its future. It has been my privilege to work alongside Council, Administration, community partners, and other levels of government to move important projects forward and prepare our city for the next generation.
Together, we've built momentum. We've strengthened our financial position, invested in infrastructure, expanded opportunities for families and businesses, and advanced the wastewater project that will unlock Morden's future growth.
Throughout my time in public office, I have focused on thoughtful leadership, responsible financial management, and collaborative decision-making. I believe the best decisions are made by listening, encouraging different perspectives, and bringing people together to find practical solutions. As Mayor, my role is to ensure every voice is heard while keeping Council focused on the long-term interests of our community.
I chose to serve in municipal government because I believe local leadership has the greatest opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's everyday lives. Whether planning for growth, investing in infrastructure, supporting recreation, strengthening neighbourhoods, or advocating for healthcare and economic development, the decisions we make today shape the future of our community. It is an honour to serve the residents of Morden and help build a city that future generations will be proud to call home.
My professional background has provided me with the experience to lead responsibly. I hold a Degree in Agriculture and, for 25 years, my husband Henry and I owned and operated a successful grain and special crop farm. During seeding and harvest, I worked alongside him in the field while managing the farm's finances and production records. Running a family business taught me the value of hard work, sound financial management, strategic planning, and making thoughtful decisions with the future in mind.
When we changed careers, I earned my Certified Financial Planner Professional designation and Life Insurance Licence. As a business partner in a wealth management practice, I worked with individuals and families to develop insurance, retirement, and estate planning strategies. That experience strengthened my financial expertise, sharpened my strategic thinking, and reinforced the importance of listening carefully, building trust, and helping people achieve their goals.
Long before serving on Council, I was actively involved in volunteer organizations and community leadership. Those experiences reinforced my belief that strong communities are built by people who are willing to serve, work together, and invest in the success of others. That belief continues to guide my approach to leadership today.
Henry and I are proud parents of two daughters and grandparents to four wonderful grandchildren. Family has always been at the heart of everything I do and inspires my commitment to building a community where families can thrive and future generations have every opportunity to succeed.
When I'm not serving the community, I enjoy golfing and spending time in my garden during the summer. In the winter, you'll often find me quilting or enjoying my newest creative hobby, rug hooking.
Serving as Mayor has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. I remain optimistic about Morden's future and committed to providing steady, collaborative leadership that keeps our community moving forward.
With your support, I look forward to continuing the work we've started and building an even stronger future for Morden.
